Teaching aid "High - Low"

Teaching aid "High - Low"

6 months

Make your little one a teaching aid - they will learn the concept of "high and low" easily and quickly!

You'll need:

  • cardboard;
  • color velvet paper of one color;
  • scissors;
  • glue;
  • felt pens.

Cut out rectangles of the same width and of various lengths from colored paper - they will be houses.

Take the sheet of cardboard, place it horizontally and draw a strip of land with grass at the bottom.

Then glue the houses to the cardboard in the following way:

  • at first glue the lowest house - a one story one;
  • then glue a two-storey house, etc.
  • finally, glue the highest house.

Draw the windows and doors of the house with felt pens.

You can even use large buttons to make the windows - attach them with a glue gun.

Later you'll manage to decorate the teaching aid with additional details - draw clouds, birds, trees, the sun, etc.

Sit with your baby at the table and look at the picture. Explain what the little one sees, let him/her explore it - touch the velvet paper, buttons, view details.

Explain that the first house is the lowest, the second house is higher than the first one, and the last house is the highest.

If you use buttons in your craft, don't leave your baby alone when he/she is using the aid. Check the buttons when you give the picture to the baby!

Make photos of your little one viewing the houses, upload to the App. Write whether he/she liked looking at the picture.
