Learning to stand up

8 months

At the age of 8 months old, the baby becomes stronger and starts to stand up with the support of furniture, or mom and dad. This is when you can start working on balance and getting the baby familiar with the standing position.

Help Baby pull themselves up then show how to bend his/her knees to get back down to the floor. This will help ease falls when the little one starts taking steps without your support.

Let the little one walk in front of you while you hold his/her hands - and periodically let go of one hand so the baby can experiment with balance. Or stand a few feet away and cheer on when he/she's standing. Offer lots of encouragement and praise.

Make photos of your standing baby, upload to the App. Write about the little one's progress.
