Play singing games with the whole family

Choose a favorite family hymn and, sitting in a circle on the floor, sing it once through all together.

Then try to sing the hymn again, but this time, go around the circle and have each family member sing one word at a time in order.

Whoever sings the last word correctly gets to choose the next hymn.

For another fun musical activity, have the family pick a favorite hymn; make sure that everyone knows the melody.

Then make up your own words about your family, matching the tune of the hymn, and write them down.

Try to include bits of family history, funny moments and good memories - and try to make it rhyme. Once the words are written down, sing the family hymn all together!
