Viewing things

4 months

Even though your baby can see at birth, their vision isn’t what you might consider normal. The newborn had the ability to see shapes and your face when it was in close range. At this point your baby could only see 8 to 10 inches away.

As they reached 3-months, they started to track objects that move with their eyes. By 5 months, their color vision is better developed and their eyes focus well enough to see in three dimensions. This means that they have the depth perception to reach and grab their toys or other objects. To develop your baby's sense of sight, play the following game with your little one: sit close to your baby, make eye contact with the little one, let him/her view your face. Then tilt your head slowly to the right, to the left - the baby will also turn their head, trying to focus their eyes on your eyes or smile.

You can offer your baby to view contrasting things and patterns, moving them slowly back and forth.

Make photos of your baby viewing the things around, upload to the App. Write about his/her new skills.
