Make a colorful photo frame

This quick and easy craft is a perfect gift for Mother's Day!

You'll need:

• thick paper (or cardboard);
• scissors;
• a pencil;
• a ruler;
• a stationery knife;
• gouache;
• a brush;
• a jar of water;
• glue.

1. Cut out of the cardboard a rectangle of the appropriate size. Draw vertical and horizontal lines to cut out a frame, using the stationary knife.
2. Sit at the table with the kid, give him/her the frame and gouache.
3. Let the kid decorate the frame with various patterns. Offer him/her to use bright colors.
4. When the paints dry, glue the kid's photo or painting/applique/drawing, etc. to the back side of the frame.
