Create a monotype picture!

Monotype is one of the simplest non-traditional painting techniques for children.

To draw a picture in the technique, you need:

• Any smooth surface that does not pass water (for example, a piece of plexiglas or an ordinary baking tray).
• Gouache.
• Sponge for washing dishes, paint roller or wide brush.
• Cotton swabs.
• Paper.

 Steps:

• Using a sponge, brush or roller apply the paint on the surface.
• Draw a picture with a cotton swab (you can even use fingers).

• Press the paper gently on the surface, remove it.

 Your monotype picture is ready!
