View the Full Moon

5 to 8 years

Your kid will surely like how mysterious a full moon is!
Choose a warm evening without low clouds and go with the little one for a walk after sunset. Take binoculars or a spyglass to see better the lunar marinas and craters.
Explain to your kid that the full moon is the phase of the moon that occurs when the Moon lies on the opposite side of Earth from the Sun. The moon as seen from the surface of the earth is fully illuminated by the sun at this time, presenting a "full" round disc to viewers on Earth. As always, only half the total surface of the moon is illuminated.
You can even create your own Full Moon ritual, blessing the family members and the whole world!
Make several photos with the Full Moon in the background, upload to the App. Add some words about your and your kid's impressions.
