Sensory box with natural materials

5 months

Make your little one a sensory box with various natural materials you can find around - the baby will surely like to play with it and view the things hidden inside!

Playing with natural materials will help your baby learn various textures, shapes, and explore the world around them. It is beneficial for sensory development and fine motor skills.

You'll need:

  • plastic container with low boards;
  • smooth stones;
  • cones;
  • smooth short sticks;
  • grass (in winter you can purchase it at a pet store), etc.

Put all the materials into the container.

Lay your little one on their tummy, putting a rolled towel under his/her chest - thus the baby will manage to manipulate with both hands.

Give the container to your baby and let him/her explore it and the things hidden inside.

All the materials should be safe so that your baby can't hurt themselves or get a splinter. Playing with the sensory box must be arranged under your supervision.

Make photos of the process, upload to the App. Write briefly about the experience and your baby's impressions.
