Give your kid a piece of bread, some butter, and a special knife. Let him/her take the knife and take the little one's hand - thus you'll manage to help him/her.
Show how to put butter on the piece of bread and spread it.
Then let your kid make a sandwich without your help.
Encourage the little helper, and he/she will surely like to cook in the future!
