How to Draw a Winter Tree

Draw a winter tree with your child, using a unique technique.

You will need:

• gray (blue, blue, brown, etc. are ok) pastel paper;
• black and white gouache;
• Bendy straws;
• a simple pencil with an eraser (or cotton swabs);
• brush;
• a cup of water;
• small cup.

1. Dilute the black paint in a cup to a thin liquid consistency.
2. Draw a tree with a brush - the trunk and thick branches.
3. Take a straw and blow on the branches in different directions. Liquid black paint will spread, forming thin beautiful twigs. By painting this way, you will create a very natural and picturesque tree.
4. When the paint dries, paint in snow. To do this, take a simple pencil with an eraser, dip the rubber tip in white paint and leave even white snowflake circles on the paper.
