Draw fish

Introduce your kid to an unusual painting technique - watercolor on wet paper. This simple technique is great for the youngest artists.

Not sure how to entertain your child? - Show them a unique way to paint - watercolor on wet paper. Your young artist will definitely enjoy this activity. Draw fish with your child.

You will need:


  • watercolor paper;
  • watercolor paints;
  • thick round brush (or foam sponge);
  • a jar for water;
  • damp cloth for hands;
  • oilcloth for the table (or put down newspaper);
  • white wax crayon;
  • felt-tip pens.


  1. Draw some fish and seaweed on paper using a white wax crayon.
  2. Dampen the sheet with water (with a brush or directly under the tap).
  3. While the paper is wet, have your child paint the sheet with watercolors using blue, cyan, purple, and green paints. In the spots where crayon was used, the watercolor will not stick.
  4. When the paint is dry, draw eyes and pebbles on the bottom with a black felt-tip pen.
