An Applique Ship

Make an applique of a ship with your child. Such a nice, handmade craft be a good gift to a dad or grandpa for their birthday or father's day!

For your project, you'll need the following materials:

• Colored Paper;
• Cardboard;
• Scissors;
• Glue-Stick;
• Wax Crayons;
• Markers;

1. Tear off a few strips of blue paper, glue them to the bottom of a piece of cardboard so that the white edges are visible - it will be the sea and waves.

2. Cut out the ship's hull, sail, and the sun from your colored paper. You can also make clouds by tearing up some paper. Use your glue-stick to stick everything to your cardboard.

3. Use a felt-tip pen to draw a mast, portholes and gulls.

4. Use colored crayons to draw rays from the sun and decorate the sky.
