Playing with a feather duster

Feather dusters make a cute tool for playing with your little one!

Buy a new feather duster or just make it yourself. For the craft you'll need:

• dowel
• feathers
• plastic medicine dosing/measuring cup
• glue
• paint (optional)
• rubber band

Paint the handle for your feather duster. Paint the cup as well. Allow to dry completely.

Select soft feathers at least 10-inches long. Gather the feathers into one bundle and wrap them together at their ends with a rubber band. Drive a hole in the bottom of the cup. Place the handle inside the opening from the outside of the cup and add plenty of glue. Let it dry in an upright position.

Take your bundled feathers and place them inside the cup hole. Add strong glue. Dry your new feather duster overnight before using.

Changing your baby clothes, tickle his/her tummy, arms and legs with the feathers! Smile and talk gently to your little one, comment your actions, naming the parts of body you are tickling.
