Learning to listen to your child

under 8 years

Oftentimes, parents know in advance what their baby wants to say or show. Nevertheless, try not to interrupt them, let them finish (or express your feelings with gestures and facial expressions, if the baby is small and does not know how to talk). This is especially important if your child did something wrong and wants to confess something.

Child psychologists agreed that if a child is interrupted all the time, they’ll feel worthless and eventually lose the ability to express their opinion. They’ll end up feeling like no one cares or needs to hear it.

Respect your baby and their opinion. Your attentiveness will help them grow self-sufficient.
