Baked Ham and Cheese Frittata

This ham and cheese frittata is delicious hot, warm or at room temperature! The best part is you just throw the ingredients in one pan and then put it in the over.


  • 6 eggs
  • 1 tsp dried basil leaves
  • 1 cup grated cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped ham steak, about 60 g
  • 1 plum tomato, finely chopped
  • 1/2 small red onion, finely chopped
  • 1/2 red pepper, finely chopped
  • 1/2 zucchini, finely chopped
  • fresh basil (optional)


  1.  Preheat oven to 350F. Lightly oil or spray a 9-in. pie plate.
  2.  Whisk eggs with dried basil in a large bowl. Season with fresh pepper. Stir in cheese, ham, tomato, onion, red pepper and zucchini. Pour into pie plate and evenly distribute vegetables.
  3.  Bake in the centre of oven until frittata is golden around the edges and firm when jiggled, 30 to 35 min. Sprinkle with fresh basil just before serving.
